Wildfires Support Resources

Dear MSVU Students,


We hope that you and your families are safe and secure following the recent wildfires in Nova Scotia. Our thoughts are with those who have been directly affected.


We understand that this is a difficult time and want to remind you of the resources available to support your academic and emotional wellbeing.


1. Academic Support


If you have any challenges in completing course requirements, we encourage you to contact your professor and explain your situation so that your professor can give you the best academic advice that you need.

2. Mental Health Support


Please know that you are not alone during this time. MSVU Counselling Service provides free personal and academic counselling to any registered Mount student in a relaxed and confidential environment. You can contact them at:

3. National Student Loans Support

Applications for Repayment Assistance are being fast-tracked for student loan borrowers affected by wildfires. For more information, you can visit https://www.csnpe-nslsc.canada.ca/en/home
