About the Event:
Are you a student researcher looking for an opportunity to showcase your research? Would you like to engage in meaningful discussions about MSVU’s rich research history and promising future at the end of the 150th anniversary year?
Student researchers from all disciplines are invited to participate in the Mount Saint Vincent University 150th Student Research Symposium, hosted by the MSVU Research Office and Student’s Union, on November 24th, 2023, from 9:00am-2:00pm.
From Theory to Action, the Student Research Symposium will bring together faculty, students, and community members; serving as a platform to showcase the outstanding research conducted by MSVU's academic community, specifically students.
Event Themes:
Foregrounding this event are the themes of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility (EDIA), and Truth and Reconciliation. These themes will guide the keynote, presentations and research symposium. There will be keynotes delivered by Randy Headley, Black Student Advisor, and Delvina Bernard, MSVU’s EDIA Advisor, titled From Theory to Action: The Scarborough Charter. This event will also include student posters and presentations followed by a light lunch and poster walk-through.
Submission Details:
We invite submissions from any relevant discipline, and interdisciplinary research that features the themes of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility and/or Truth and Reconciliation is strongly encouraged.
To submit, please send a research abstract of no more than 250 words by filling out the Submission Form. Research abstracts must be based on research currently conducted or within the last 12 months.
