This panel discussion directly responds to the MSVUFA strike announcement and the expressed interest of students in mobilizing their communities. As students become steadily more involved in issues related to ethical employment for the FA, EDIA at MSVU, and maximizing their education amidst a strike, it is helpful to open ourselves up to insights from activists who represent a breadth of communities on various complex issues. This helps to ensure everyone feels heard and safe in the mobilization efforts on campus.
We are honoured to welcome our panellists, named below:
• Brianna Montrope, a current student from the MSVU Department of Political Science;
• Tammy Williams, Educations Program Manager at the Mi'kmaw Native Friendship Centre; and
• Riley Nielson-Baker, co-founder and Executive Director of Gender Affirming Care Nova Scotia

Step 1: Understand the Situation
To ensure that you are well-informed about the situation and prepared for any potential impacts, we encourage you to take the time to visit the FAQs provided by both the MSVU Faculty Association (MSVUFA) and the university. Step 2: Check whether your class is affected
During the strike, courses instructed by full-time faculty, librarians, and lab instructors will be suspended. You can find a list of impacted courses below. Please ensure to verify your course section, as some sections of the same course may be cancelled while others proceed as scheduled.

Courses led by part-time faculty will still be held, with the exception of a few lab sessions. Please refer to the linked list for details.

Step 3: Know the supporting resources
University: The campus, including Residence and all other campus buildings, will remain operational. All other university services will continue to operate as usual. While some services at the library may be affected, it will remain open. Additionally, the health office, fitness center, and child study center will continue to operate without interruption.

Students' Union: Our services, including the HUB, Food Bank, Fountain Playcentre, Soup Kitchen, Pride Centre, The Rook Cafe & Pub, Wellness Lounge, etc. will remain open. If you need a space to decompress during this challenging time, feel free to send us an email at supres@msvu.ca
